Think about it. What’s it all about?

Others, Lord, yes others,
May this my motto be.
Help me to live for others
That I may live for Thee,

Our lives should be marked by love for Christ and others—not obsession with self.

Welcome! Sweet Bug!
Why does she have over-riders and turn signals if it's a '58 German Bug?
$8k is a good price for a '59 Euro Bug. :D

I'm not sure what beauty rings are...they have the old hubcaps on the wheels.

On that leak, check the main seal... most people change all the seals and gaskets except that one since it is not included on most gasket kits. And if you can, do not use the orange Elring one, use the black one made by Victor (it's german; personal recommendation here). Hopefully they do not jump on me too much for recommending that one. :toothy2: :tongue3:

I was stationed at Ramstein AB from 97 - 2003 and 2006 - 2010. As for replacing the gaskets, I bought a 36 HP gasket replacement kit from buggy warehouse, if I remember correctly, they are orange. I have to put it on the side for now while I get settled into our house first. I don't really have a work area/bench set up yet to pull the engine.

I'm assuming the guy who owned it before me replaced the bumpers with the ones that are on there, and installed the turn signals. It also has a reverse light installed on the back as well, and the back tail lights have brake and turn signal covers.

I wish I could, I'll be going out of town on Sat, so Friday will be a family night. What will y'all be doing at Pierce Automotive? Also, I haven't registered her in TX yet, so I can't legally drive her on the road.

Are there bumper over-rider support holes in the aprons? How 'bout a grab-bar on the dash? Just curious. Looking forward to seeing it in person.
